God's favorite memories
We think God never forgets our sins.
Once we confess them to Him and grieve them with Him, He makes the choice not only to wash us clean, but to wash His memory clean.
“I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more” (Jeremiah 31:34)
God is willing to forget our sins. What He’s not willing to forget is:
His covenants…
His children…
His favorite memories with you.
A few years ago I found a letter I wrote as a 9 year-old to my great grandfather after he had passed away.
The closing line read:
“Give God a hug for me.”
My throat tightened as I thought, “I forgot I said that.”
And into the silence Jesus whispered:
“I didn’t.”
What good does God want you to remember?
