Who am I?

What we mistake as identity is often idolatry.

About a year and a half into knowing Jesus I found myself exposed.

In His love, He had taken away my two favorite hiding places:

  • I had been fired so I couldn’t hide behind my job title

  • I had gotten married to a wonderful man and provider so I couldn’t hide behind my pride of being a “strong (and struggling) independent woman”

In bitter frustration my heart yelled out, “Who am I?”

“Mine.” He responded.

Then He added His own question:

“Is that enough for you?”

Above everything else, you are His.

The question is: Is that enough for you?
